Y.E.S. stands for Youth Expanding Services.

After great success in the pilot year of 1996-97, in which 621 students performed over 14,000 hours of documented service, the Y.E.S. program at Clements High School was expanded to other Fort Bend high schools, and continuing to grow in and beyond the Fort Bend community.

The purpose of the program is to encourage a lifelong interest in volunteering. It promotes volunteerism more than philanthropy. Your community service contribution is recognized by the school when over 100 hours of service are accumulated over the course of your high school years.

The Y.E.S. Program is voluntary. Students may not be paid for any service they perform in order to obtain Y.E.S. Hours. The services or activities must be administered by a non-profit organization or agency.

To join the program you must turn in a signed contract. For each volunteering service you perform, you use the YES Service Form to record the hours. Your completed, signed YES contracts and service forms are accepted at the YES table.

The Y.E.S. Program is YOUR responsibility. Your willingness to serve the community and your ability to accomplish a long term and worthwhile project is demonstrated by constantly seeking a variety of volunteer opportunities, turning in the required forms in a timely manner and keeping track of your YES hours. This YES website is designed to help you achieve that goal.

The program is managed by the Clements YES Committee, in office 2008.
